The challenge, a great product nobody could find
Speechly had a fast, accurate macOS dictation app in a category growing every month. The problem was visibility. When someone asked ChatGPT or Google for the best speech-to-text app on Mac, Speechly never came up. The category was owned by a handful of Reddit threads and comparison posts, and none of them mentioned Speechly.
The play, show up where the answers get written
Instead of pouring budget into ad auctions, Speechly went to the source AI models and search engines read from: Reddit. Readyt surfaced the exact threads their buyers were already reading, drafted native replies scored for ICP fit, and posted them from aged, warmed accounts.
One approved reply, three compounding channels. The reply lands in the thread today. The thread ranks on Google over the following weeks. And the AI models keep citing it, so the brand shows up in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers long after.
The result, Reddit visibility became branded demand
Search demand followed the presence. Over 8 months, impressions climbed from a flat baseline to 147k and organic clicks reached 4.9k. Most telling: the single biggest query became the brand itself. "speechly" pulled 3,426 clicks, up from a handful, as more people discovered the app through Reddit and AI answers and then went to Google to find it.
